Participate Community services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aim to support individuals with disabilities in actively engaging and participating in their local communities. These services recognize the importance of social inclusion, connection, and participation in community life for overall well-being and quality of life.

NDIS-funded Participate Community services may include:

  1. Social and recreational activities: Assistance with accessing and participating in community-based social events, clubs, groups, and recreational activities tailored to the individual’s interests and preferences.
  2. Skill-building and training: Support with developing social skills, communication skills, and confidence to interact with others and engage in community activities independently.
  3. Volunteer opportunities: Assistance in finding and participating in volunteer roles within the community, providing opportunities for skill development, meaningful engagement, and contribution to society.
  4. Community access and transportation: Support with accessing public transportation, arranging transportation services, or providing assistance with transportation to community activities and events.
